Mini-murmuration on the flooded Levels and Little Egret, Kestrel and Buzzard!

Driving across Aller Moor on the Somerset Levels this morning I came across a small murmuration of Starlings feeding in the fields that hadn't yet become flooded!
It's amazing to be so close to a few hundred of these wonderful birds, imagine what it's like to see hundreds of thousands descend on nearby RSPB Ham Wall at once!!
Must go and see this spectacle with my family this Winter!
I also encountered a Kestrel on overhead wires, 3 or 4 Little Egrets feeding on the edge of the floods and a Buzzard in a tree.... needless to say, I had to stop and photograph them all, as well as a Magpie at Ilchester earlier!

Some unexpected pictures taken during a very brief sunny spell, good start to 2016! :)
