My favourite photos of 2015, the year of the Hudsonian Godwit!! Happy New Year!

As it's counting down to the new year I thought I'd post some of my favourite photos from the last year! I had some wonderful times in nature with my camera in 2015, including photographing one of Britains rarest ever visiting birds, the Hudsonian Godwit, when it turned up at Shapwick Heath in Somerset!
Not all the photos are necessarily my best, but they all mean a lot to me personally, reminding me of particular times, or catching fleeting moments and preserving them for a lifetime!
My equipment changed this year also, I started with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor 70-300MM VR lens, briefly tried the Sigma 50-500mm lens, then upgraded to a Nikon D7200 and Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens, which is a combination I'm very happy with!
As ever, I will strive to improve my photography in 2016, and hope you all come along to see if I manage it!!
At the end of the upcoming photos I will post some links to my other nature accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. Please let me know what you think of my work, I'm always pleased to get feedback, good or bad! :)

The following pics are in no particular order, there will be no captions, and they start with the Hudsonian Godwit and crowds of birders at Shapwick! :)

For now, I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous 2016!
