Redshank on a post!

Popped into RSPB Greylake on a break today.
This time of year it's not very busy as the vegetation is so high that it's hard to see the birds!
However they are about and you will see them if you are patient!
I didn't have to be patient in the tree top hide though, as a very confiding Redshank stood posing on a post right in front of the hide for 15 minutes! It didn't mind me opening the window and clicking away, it didn't mind when someone else came into the hide and we chatted away quite loud....it seemed to know we were no threat! Usually they are very wary birds and difficult to get close to!
Just before I left the hide I saw a Bittern in flight in the distance and managed a record shot....I think it landed in the main reed bed where one has been 'booming for weeks!

Below are some pics of the posing Redshank and some other pics i've managed from the last week or so, including more Poppies, dogs playing at my local park and a Marsh Harrier.
