RSPB Greylake..... Reed Buntings and Chaffinches galore!

After nearly a year I finally managed to replace my damaged 70-300mm Nikkor lens!! I had been using a very cheap version that I bought in 2006, and to be quite frank, the quality of the pictures left a lot to be desired! I had been saving for a 50-500mm Sigma lens, but decided to put that on hold and buy the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED instead, which is a great lens! Already the sharpness, clarity, contrasts and colour rendition are obvious, as I found this morning when I took advantage of the sunny weather and went to RSPB Greylake just up the road from my home in Somerset.
  I didn't have long so didn't venture further than the car park, where there were plenty of birds near the feeders to photograph, mainly Chaffinches and Reed Buntings!
  Feels great having a decent lens again!
